Day 1: Reims

Pick up in Reims Train Station.  Transfer to your centrally located hotel and check in.  Arrive in the City of Kings and Explore the Historic Quarters.  Reims is one of France’s most vibrant and cosmopolitan cities. It offers visitors an amazing choice of fine restaurants, brasseries and shops, lively nightlife, concerts, festivals and cultural events, and of course, world-famous Champagne houses to visit and sample the local nectar. With tree-lined avenues, elegant squares and a magnificent gothic cathedral that played host to the coronation of several kings of France, Reims is a city for all occasions.  
 

Day 2: Champagne Day Tour with Tasting: Veuve Clicquot, local winery

Over 4,000 family winemakers craft the essence of Champagne, passing down secrets through generations. Experience this first-hand with a visit to a family grower's production site, followed by a curated tasting of several cuvées, each telling its own story of the region's heritage.  Embark on a scenic drive through Reims, the unofficial capital of Champagne. Marvel at the grandeur of iconic Champagne Houses, the architectural beauty of the city center, and the majestic Notre-Dame de Reims Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has witnessed the coronation of French kings.  Discover the city's rich history, from the Roman Oratory Ruins to the widest standing Roman Arch in the world.  Travel through the picturesque Marne River Valley towards Hautvillers, the cradle of Champagne. Here, we pay homage to Dom Pérignon, the spiritual father of Champagne wine, resting in the village's serene abbey church.  This charming village offers panoramic views of vineyards that sweep down to the bustling town of Epernay, where we'll enjoy a delightful lunch.  Savor the flavors of the region with a convivial lunch at a local restaurant in Epernay, the Capital of Champagne. Enjoy a main course and dessert, perfectly paired with the ambiance of this vibrant town. Discover the opulence of Epernay's Avenue de Champagne, where prestigious Maisons de Champagne display their heritage. This stunning avenue, lined with magnificent mansions and miles of underground tunnels, encapsulates the glamour of Champagne production.  Before our return to Reims, indulge in one more intimate experience with a visit to another esteemed family estate. Explore their production site and enjoy a tasting of select cuvées, each a testament to the family's dedication to Champagne crafting.  As the day concludes, return to the Reims Centre Train Station, carrying with us memories of a day immersed in the elegance and tradition of Champagne.
